The joy of motherhood is something that cannot be explained in words, but there are also times where all you want to do is pull out your hair and be left alone to get some actually SLEEP! My son was a great sleeper and eater until one day we noticed he was arching his back and refusing to eat and never seemed to settle when I placed him on his back to sleep. After a few days of struggle, I took to the internet and figured out he was suffering from silent reflux. This is the reason why he wouldn’t want eat, especially be nursed in the traditional cradle hold and never seemed to want to nap, let alone sleep at night. He was in pain! When my son was born, I made a commitment to myself to try my best to breastfeed him for a least a year. In the beginning, it was really hard.
