Paleo Bakehouse

Okay my sweets loving mamas, do I have some goodness to share.

I stumbled upon Paleo Bakehouse as an Instagram ad (thank you!). I was instantly drawn by the words “gluten free”. Yay, a gluten free monthly subscription of treats, um where do I sign up?

Having celiacs disease has been a life changing journey and one with many struggles. I was diagnosed when I was newly 21, prime age to kick back a brewski, well, not for this girl. I lived all my life eating everything sweet! Cinnamon rolls, Toaster Strudels, donuts, Nutter Butters, you name it, I ate it! I have a major sweet tooth, let’s just say that! When I was diagnosed I was so confused and pretty upset. I couldn’t come to terms that I couldn’t have any more brownie sundaes, pumpkin pie and churros. I didn’t take it seriously at first, so I kept eating gluten and paying the price for it. Finally, one day I just had enough, I needed guidance. So I sought out a naturopathic doctor and she changed my life. I finally understood. I started to read labels, incorporated more fruit, vegetables and plant-based proteins (at the time I was vegetarian) into my diet. I finally felt normal again. I felt great!

So, fast-forward 5 years later and I am still feeling pretty dang good! Gluten is my arch nemesis and dairy is a close second. I still would eat dairy occasionally because lets just face it, i’m Italian and pizza is a huge part of my diet (it’s my love language). I only recently went cold turkey when my son was suffering silent reflux. I gave up diary and his reflux, along with other holistic remedies, went away!

Not eating gluten, diary and cutting back on refined sugar, what is one to eat? Well, if you read labels on most foods, you’ll find well over 10 ingredients and probably a few you can’t pronounce or have no idea what it is either.

STOP DOING THAT! Heres my secret to not giving up sweets and sticking to my diet, Paleo Bakehouse!

Not only are they gluten free, they are dairy free, grain free, refined sugar free, non-gmo and always made with fresh wholesome ingredients. And by ingredients, they mean 9 or less! Yes, they use 9 ingredients or less in every treat. Ingredients you can pronounce too!

Their monthly subscription box has 12 goodies. 4 flavors, with 3 pieces of each flavor. Each goodie is individually wrapped and perfect for on the go! My favorite are their cinnamon rolls. After my first bite, I danced around my kitchen saying “yep, that’s good” while my son laughed at me! Want to try for yourself? Use promo code “RACHEL15” for 15% off your purchase!
