I know…diapers. Riveting, right? But hey, late night, early morning, mid-day, diaper changes are going to happen. It’s something that all parents are familiar with. There is like a gazillion diaper brands on the market, but it’s honestly trial and error when it comes to finding out what type or brand you like. Quantity and quality are very important but cost is a huge contributing factor for us when choosing diapers for our son. We have tried numerous brands, some we loved, some we down right kind of hated.
So, let’s get down to the nitty-gritty. Here is my absolute honest opinion on diapers.
Pampers. I think everyone is familiar with this household brand. When we were in the hospital, Pampers were the diapers they provided. So, it’s safe to say, they are tried and true, however, I don’t really like the Pampers Swaddlers. I have written about this before, but just come on! The netting sticks to my babes rump when he goes doo-doo. It’s like peeling off a bandaid. Now, your probably thinking, well change it right away after a BM…I do, but in the middle of the night, or car rides to my beloved Target… he might have a poopy diaper for a while. AND THAT’S TOTALLY OKAY! Pampers Baby Dry on the other hand are amazing! They totally keep him dry throughout the night…not that he sleeps throughout but at least I know I can leave his diaper till the morning, a huge mom win for me.
Huggies. I have only tried the Little Snugglers and I have to say, well done Huggies, well done. They are super soft and fit snugly. Cant go wrong with their Winnie the Pooh design either. They are even labeled “font” and “back” so even novice dada’s can do it! They have the wetness indicator too. Basically these are, what the cool kids say, on fleek!
Luvs. My mom actually picked up some of these for us when we visit and I have to say, I am very impressed. They are one of the cheaper diapers on the market. They fit like Pampers Baby Dry and are very absorbent. Now, like all diapers for us, explosions don’t stay in the diaper, but these are a great bargain buy, especially with a coupon!
Kirkland Signature Supreme. These are a Costco brand diaper and live up to their supreme name. I think these are comparable to the Huggies Little Snugglers, but just not quite as soft. They fit good, have that amazing wetness indicator we love and you can get 198 diapers in size 3 for only $39. Now the downside is that you have to be a Costco member to get this specific brand of diapers. We are not, but my in-laws are, so they have treated us to a few boxes. These are not my all time favorite, but they get the job done and that’s all that matters in my book!
The Honest Co. CUTEST DIAPERS ON THE MARKET! If you have the cash to spend on diapers, these are so worth it. Probably one of my favorites, but just a little out of our price range for us to solely use them. We get them when we can and I tell ya, they do rock. Best of all they are eco-friendly! Online, you can get 34 diapers in size 3 for around $14. And if you use Ebates, you get 4% cash back on your purchase, woohoo!
Little Journey. Okay, so I love me some Aldi goodies, but their diapers fall a lil short for me. Don’t get me wrong, they aren’t terrible, they just are not good for night time. A good thing is that they are super affordable! These are great for keeping on hand in your car or diaper bag for emergencies for sure.
*If I had to rate these diapers, not including cost as a factor:
- The Honest Co.
- Pampers Baby Dry
- Kirkland Supreme
- Pampers Swaddlers
- Little Journey
